Anupama Verma is a model, actress, and televisionpersonality from Delhi. She was discovered by well known celebrity photographerShantanu Sheorey when she was in ninth grade. Her first modeling assignment waswith Shekhar Kapur for Digjam suiting.
She has been a cover girl for many leading Indian magazines,and has modeled for a huge range of consumer products such as Fair and Lovely,Siyaram, Harry's collections, Pantene, Lipton, Monte Carlo among others.
Apart from modelling, Anupama had a successful parallelcareer in television as a VJ on Channel [V].
It was rumored that she was the reason for the split betweenLeander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi. In 2006 she starred in the Indian realityshow Bigg Boss later, she was evicted and replaced with Rakhi Sawant.
On the show Bigg Boss, Anupama had developed a relationshipwith model Aryan Vaid. Aryan was supposedly madly in love with Anupama and wasvery emotional when they parted when he got evicted from the show beforeAnupama. In the final episode of the show, it was discovered that the beautifulrelationship that started on the show could not last in the real world. Anemotional Anupama said that Aryan was not the same person outside and she couldnot relate to him anymore.
She also acted in Doordarshan channel's serial program"Ankhen" where she plays the protagonist, who can foresee crimes thatare immediately committed after she has seen them.
Anupama featured in the remix video of Biddu's 1980's megahit song Boom Boom sung by the Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan, furtherincreasing her popularity.
She was also seen in Bali Brahmbhatt's "Tere bin jeenanahi" with Bikrma Saluja, and Leslie Lewis' "Bheegi bheegi raatonmein" videos.
She has an MBA degree in Marketing & Finance from FMSDelhi.
Anupama is also an ambassador for various anti-smokingcampaigns, notably Crusade Against Tobacco.
