Model turned actress Anushka Sharmacomes from an army background. Her father is a highly ranked Army Officer andher mother is a housewife. Having graduated from Mount Carmel College,Bangalore, Sharma who always knew her calling laid in modeling began to pursuethe charms of the glamour world. She enrolled in the Elite Modeling Agencywhere she was groomed by renowned style consultant Prasad Bidapa, whom she metwhen she was just 15 years of age.
Sharma was then spotted by designerWendell Rodricks and the next thing she knew was that she was his show-stopperat Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show. Within a year she became a sensationalmodel in India, and was picked to be Wendell Rodricks's finale model at theSpring Summer '07 Collection. Since then the demure looking model has donecampaigns for Silk & Shine, Whisper, Nathella Jewelry and Fiat Palio.
